The perfect Deputy Manager experience:

·Full and relevant Level 3 childcare Qualification.

·Previous experience either managing a room or team within a nursery.

·A sound understanding of the EYFS.

·Thorough knowledge of Safeguarding procedures.

·Fluent in written and spoken English at GCSE grade C (or equivalent)

Your duties as a Deputy Manager:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.

• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.

•Assist the manager by ensuring that company policies and procedures are embedded, applied, and adhered to by all.

• Assist in reporting of any child safeguarding or protection matters, including allegations and serious accidents/ injuries to management

• Check that risk assessments are conducted regularly and thoroughly, and all health and safety matters are reported

• Ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children with health conditions, and reviewed regularly

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development

• Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
